corryton children's ministry
Our Children’s Ministry is a place for fun, excitement, and a love of sharing God’s word with the incredible kids in our care. Each Sunday & Wednesday that your kids are with us is just a small portion of time—but we strive to make the most of it. Our goal is to help build a Christ-centered foundation that will last for eternity while providing an environment in which they can connect with their peers, the church and the Lord.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
On the first Sunday of every month, our kids go to Small Groups for the first hour and join their families for the main worship service for the second hour. The following Sundays follow a different schedule. During first hour—our kids break off into their small group classes for rotations. Each week they rotate through crafts, missions, games, and a small group lesson time. During second hour—our kids have the opportunity to experience an environment similar to an adult service with a large group service in the Student Center. This is a time of lessons, videos, skits, and songs. Afterwards, everyone returns upstairs for a snack.
WEDNESDAYS
On Wednesday evenings boys participate in Royal Ambassadors and the girls in Girls in Action. Girls in Action is a missions discipleship organization for girls in grades K-5. Through GAs, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! Royal Ambassadors is a missions discipleship organization for boys in grades K-5. Through hands on activities that encourage spiritual growth, games and sports, and mentoring relationships with RA leaders, RA members become a faith-based brotherhood.
DRAMA TEAM
Every other Wednesday one of our incredible volunteers leads a drama and music class that is available for those who wish to participate. One Sunday a month this group assists in leading the music and/or skit during our first hour large group time.
