The Key to Loving Others

Loving others starts with loving God. In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey unpacks the key to truly loving people—and it begins with our relationship with God.

Loving God enables us to love ourselves. If God loves us, we matter. When we become like Him, we find our identity, value, purpose, and fulfillment in Him—not in others, achievements, or circumstances. God, who needs nothing, loves us best. And when we live in that love, we no longer seek validation from the world.

Loving God and knowing our worth in Him frees us to love others. When we stop striving for approval and rest in who He says we are, we can extend real, selfless love to those around us—just as Jesus commanded.

Want to love others better?

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
